Discover Feteera

If you're in Cairo and craving a delicious, homey meal, Feteera on 26 July Street in Zamalek is definitely worth a visit. Nestled in the heart of one of Cairo’s most iconic neighborhoods, this spot offers an inviting atmosphere and a menu that will transport your taste buds to new heights.

Walking into Feteera, the ambiance immediately feels warm and welcoming, a perfect balance of casual and cozy. The place has a very local vibe, making it an ideal stop for both tourists and long-time residents. The menu here is all about traditional Egyptian fare with a focus on the signature dish, which, of course, is the feteera.

Feteera is a type of Egyptian pastry that is both flaky and soft, served with a variety of fillings to suit different tastes. Whether you prefer sweet or savory, Feteera has got you covered. The savory options include classic fillings like cheese, meat, and spinach, while the sweet varieties are filled with ingredients like honey, nuts, and sugar. It's easy to see why this dish has become such a beloved part of Egypt's culinary heritage.

The feteera at this restaurant stands out not only because of its quality but also its versatility. You can enjoy it as a light snack, a hearty meal, or even a dessert depending on your mood. During my visit, I opted for a spinach and cheese filling, and it didn’t disappoint. The pastry was flaky and golden brown, with just the right amount of filling. The spinach was fresh, and the cheese melted perfectly inside the pastry. Every bite was a delight, and the flavors blended harmoniously, offering that perfect balance that you look for in a satisfying meal.

Beyond the feteera, Feteera’s menu has other Egyptian specialties that should not be overlooked. Their salads are light yet full of flavor, and the grilled meats are always a hit. The seasoned kebabs, for instance, are juicy and tender, served with a side of warm, fluffy rice that complements the flavors perfectly.

The location in Zamalek, which is one of Cairo’s most scenic districts, makes Feteera even more enjoyable. Zamalek itself is filled with beautiful parks, charming cafes, and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind. Whether you’re looking for a place to enjoy a quiet meal alone or gather with friends, Feteera's location offers the best of both worlds: great food and a prime location that’s close to everything.

One of the best aspects of Feteera is the service. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure that you feel welcome from the moment you step inside. They’re always happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences, and they provide great suggestions if you’re unsure of what to try. Their knowledge of the menu and commitment to customer satisfaction is something that truly stands out.

If you’re visiting Zamalek or even just passing through, Feteera is a must-try. It’s the perfect spot for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. The prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of food and the portion sizes. With the fresh ingredients, inviting atmosphere, and delicious feteera, it’s no wonder that this place is becoming a favorite for locals and visitors alike.

Next time you're in the area, be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself. Whether you're a fan of traditional Egyptian pastries or simply looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some great food, Feteera in Zamalek will not disappoint.

  • The best feteer experinece I have ever tried. We were 9 girls and none of us was not satisified. Even though we ordered many different kinds of feteer, all the order was correct and so hot. What was about to ruin the the experience is that they were forgetting about us coz we were sitting in the upper floor. No one was around all of them were sitting down. Everytime we wanted to ask for something we had to call them loudly for 2-3 times till they hear us. The bathroom needs to be improved. But still we all left with a satisfied taste buds. Its a must-to-try experience. Totally recommended!

  • For the first time trying fateer i like the taste. They have both savory and sweet one. Also a rare masheltek one. I like savour rolls with smoked mixed however it had waay too much cheese so u can’t taste meat at all. The other one was big enough, although my husband (local) says it is supposed to have more butter and buttery smell. As a foreigner to me it was delicious as it is. Prices are a bit high maybe because it locates in Zamalek? I believe it deserves 25% cheaper compared to local prices here. Service was great and Ahmad was very nice and helpful. Even though they didn’t have tea on their menu he ordered from outside for us. One more note side dips are pretty big and expensive, especially if u wanna try few things it will ho to waste. My suggestion is it can be cheaper and less amount instead to not waste leftovers. I recommend to try it they have different branches all over Cairo

  • As a tourist, this place is gold! We got a Hawawshi (meat in bread which is then baked or fried), a fateera with vegetables like mushrooms, olives and cheese, and also a roll with garlic cream and white cheese. Although the roll was too heavy for us to finish (gave it to a nearby homeless person), we couldn't stop eating the fateera and Hawawshi. They were spot on and delicious. I would definitely recommend.
